The British Residents Society

Who are they?
The British Residents Society was established in 1975 for British nationals living permanently in Northern Cyprus.
Currently there are over a thousand members.

What do they do?
The Society organises regular day trips, special fund-raising events and holidays abroad for its members. They also produce a handbook giving essential advice on all aspects of living in Northern Cyprus. Members with problems in North Cyprus can be helped on certain topics,
the Commitee can also contact authorities on a members behalf.

How do i get involved?
To join you must hold a valid British Passport and own/rent a property on the island, or visit the island regularly. There is an annual subscription due on the first of January each year, currently ?10.00 for Full Members and ?9.00 for Associate Members.

Commitee members are available at The Hut behind the Post Office, Girne most Saturday mornings or at Pegasus, Karaoglanoglu most Friday mornings.
