Capitanos is certainly distinctive, the architect’s design brief must have been fairly straight-foward. Make it look like a ship they said, and they dutifully obliged.
Inside the interior is similarily marine-themed complete with large fish tanks.
There is an upstairs patio and the menu is dominated by fish, the fish meze is huge and good value for money.
The restaurant is on the coast road between Lapta and Alsancak, you can’t miss it – it looks like a ship!
They also have Live Latin music on Saturdays but check before you go.

Great Seafood Meze – We had a lovely night here, the staff were very friendly and brought a giant teddy bear out for my 2 year old daughter. The meze was huge, they brought in dish after dish. It was all good, and not too expensive. Will go back again

Absolutely brilliant meal here if you love fish / seafood. Just make sure you are hungry as there is a lot to eat. Very clean and staff friendly, prices reasonable and very welcoming to children. Would definitely go back.
